Barista

June 2019 • Concord, NC

What I liked

I enjoy the partners I've had the chance to meet, know, and work with. I have not had any issues when it comes to working with supportive co-workers. I really look forward to helping others out whenever I can. During the coronavirus pandemic, my company has taken ethical protocol to ensure not only the customers are safe but the employees as well.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to transfer to a closer location sooner to cut down on my commute time and allow more focus on my studies.

Advice

This was the best decision I made for myself. I had a surprise pregnancy and had not finished my education goals, nor had I established a career for myself. I'm forever grateful of the opportunity Starbucks gave me as a chance to work with such a flexible schedule like mine and finish my degree with Arizona State University.
